My Holiday-Fun

My holiday sounded like laughter and dreams,

Like never ending fun filled with sunsets🌅,

Like friends running through the shops looking for new clothes,

Like girls singing at a playdate.

My holiday smelled like Vegemite scrolls,

Like flowers and chocolate 🍫,

Like apples 🍏 and home 🏠,

Like finally winning a game of ping pong 🏓.

Story Starters

During spelling we’ve been using 4 of our words to create “Story Starters”. A Story Starters is a sentence that could appear at the start of a novel, to engage the reader and make them want to read on.

This weeks words are: dilemma, convince, nightmare and connive.

It was the worst thing ever, a real dilemma

I had to convince him or the world is doomed

Their teeth were at his neck, this was the worst nightmare ever.

I didn’t know what to do, I would have to be conniving.

My Best Friends

My best friends are named Grace and Mya. Mya is funny, smart and playful she always helps me when I need it. Grace is hilarious, fast and a game lover like me, she is REALLY good at maths. They are such good friends I decided to make a poem for them

I love it when they help me when I am struggling

I love it when they cheer me up when I am feeling sad

I love it when they help me through all my ups and downs

They are the only TRUE friends to come into my life

And I want to always be with them for the rest of my life.

Thankyou

My Favourite Sports

My favourite sports are soccer and cricket. At school, my favourite things to do are play dodgeball, gang up and rat’s tail. I am really good at dodgeball, I have done a lot of epic catches and dodges. My best friend Grace has caught a dodgeball in her legs!!! Once, I almost tripped when I dodged the ball, because I jumped up horizontally and I lost my balance. Luckily, I twisted and landed so I didn’t fall and hurt myself. If you don’t know what rat’s tail is, I’ll tell you. All you have to do is get everyone playing to grab a sash and put ONE coloured tag on each, next you make a coned area and get all the players inside (it is best to make the coned area a square). After that the coach/sport teacher/kid says go, and everyone runs around (inside the coned area) and tries to get other people’s tags, if you do, you stop and put it on your sash, when you have no tags left, you’re out. The last 1 or 2 people standing, win.

That’s it for now. Bye!
